We may collect information automatically from your use of our services. We do this for business, product development, and for security purposes. This information can also help us locate a problem if you need our support. This includes information like:
We will receive access to all of the information made available by Snapchat’s login kit which includes but is not limited to the user’s profile information and everything related to the user’s Bitmoji.
The information we collect may not be limited to our users. We may also store information about visitors of our app, our former users and those who do not complete the sign up.
We will record and temporarily store the user's voice communication for 7 days, after which, the data will be deleted. We will only ever access this data in the case of a user reporting another user’s content because it is highly inappropriate, hateful and/or offensive. The data will then be used to determine whether to ban or block the reported user temporarily or permanently.
It is very important to us not to share your information with other individuals, companies or any entities. There are however a few instances in which we will do so.
We have permission to publish, broadcast, and display any and all information pertaining to a user’s Bitmoji. We have permission to animate, adjust or project the user’s Bitmoji in any way or manner we see fit and at any time after a user first signs into the app using their Snapchat login credentials. We can therefore publish, broadcast or display the Bitmoji and the respective animation or adjustment during, any time before or any time after live or non-live events, and while the user is logged in and not logged in to the app.
For legal reasons we may at some point be obligated to share your information with individuals, companies or authorities. We may also do this if we in good faith believe that this must be done to prevent or detect any breach of law, fraud or security. This might be done to meet any requirements of a legal process or the applicable law or to defend our rights, our users rights or public rights.
We may also use information about you and your use of the system with our partners or affiliates to display how our service is being used. In that case, the information will never be presented by us in the manner that it can be traced back to you personally.
OZ does not knowingly collect personal information from persons under the age of eighteen. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information without your permission, you should contact us so we could take steps to delete such information.
The data we collect from you is stored on Google Cloud servers.
You can request access to your personal information, or correct or update out-of-date or inaccurate personal information we hold about you. You can most easily do this, when logged in, by visiting the "Profile" portion of our app, where you have the ability to access and update information about your account, including your display name, and avatar. You must be signed in to access the "Profile" section.
You may also request that we delete your account information. You can object to processing of your personal information, ask us to restrict processing of your personal information or request portability of your personal information; if we have collected and process your personal information with your consent, then you can withdraw your consent at any time; withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent; you have the right to complain to a data protection authority about our collection and use of your personal information.
We may retain information as required or permitted by applicable laws and regulations, including to honor your choices, for our billing or records purposes and to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Statement. We take reasonable measures to destroy or de-identify personal information in a secure manner when it is no longer required.
We use reasonable administrative, logical, physical and managerial measures to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, use and modification. These measures are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risks of processing your personal information. We constantly implement and update our protective measures designed to ensure the security of data.
We continuously educate our employees and their access to our systems is given on a need-to-have basis and is governed by an approval process. Our staff is bound by confidentiality obligations with OZ and must follow our protective practices regarding personal information. Our servers are protected by firewalls, anti-virus software, and have encrypted communication. All documents are individually encrypted with keys stored in a different geographical site from the documents and the key storage itself is also encrypted. We use only those data centers and data storage service providers who have appropriate levels of security and are certified with ISO-27001, amongst other standards.
We will update this Privacy Statement from time to time in response to changing legal, regulatory or operational requirements. We will provide notice of any such changes (including when they will take effect) in accordance with law. Your continued use of the OZ service after any such updates take effect will constitute acknowledgement and (as applicable) acceptance of those changes. If you do not wish to acknowledge or accept any updates to this Privacy Statement, you may cancel your use of the OZ service.
